Welcome CAS-ual Fridays fans. We are thrilled to announce the other 4 designers who are joining the team this next term. Here's a bit about them. Make sure to come back tomorrow for our Happy Hour and then on Friday for a brand new challenge. See you all then!
My name is Irit and I am an Israeli designer and Mixed Media artist. In my “ real” life I was a working full time job Dentist for 33 years and last year I decided to retire and to spend more time with my family and my crafty addiction. I am a Mom of 4 grown- ups, three of them are married, a wife of a high police retired officer and a Grandma of 3 adorable little people. I am a very versatile crafter: I scrapbook, make cards, create Mixed Media projects and Out of Page ones.
I am also very versatile on my styles, and they totally depend on the products I use. Sometimes my style is clean and simple; sometimes it can be dark and grungy. In between I do classic scrapbooking pages or lovely shabby home decorations. But in any of my projects and my styles I stamp. During the years I was a Design team member of dozens of manufacturers, but I never designed for a challenge site. So I hope to inspire you with my projects here on CAS- ual Fridays Challenge and I am honored to be on this great team.
I've been a 5th grade teacher for 19 years and plan on retiring after the next school year. I've been married to my husband, Kevin, for 25 years. We have no children, but we do have a sweet English Springer Spaniel named Lizzie. She brings so much joy to our lives! We love to travel and see so many beautiful places in this world.
I've been stamping since about 2001. I started out scrapbooking, then my best friend got me hooked on stamping when she had a stamping party. She left this great hobby behind and I kept going! I've been blogging since 2008 and have been (and still are) on several design teams. I love this craft and have made several friends all over the world! I'm so excited to be part of this very creative and talented team and look forward to the next several months!
Hi all! My name is Angel and I am from Louisiana but live just north of San Antonio, TX with my hubby of over 22 years and the two youngest of our three boys (19, 16, and 13). I started out as a scrapbooker way back in 1998 (decorative-edged scissors, anyone??), then slowly moved over to card making about 11 years ago. I've always said crafting keeps me sane, ha! I am thrilled to be joining The CAS-ual Fridays Inspiration team.
I live in the beautiful four-season state of Michigan with my best friend and husband, Gary. We live on a lake and enjoy spending time together outdoors biking and boating. I have two step-daughters who have families of their own. Between them, we have six beautiful, active grandchildren. Some live in Michigan, not too far away, and the others live way up-north in Alaska. We visit both families often and enjoy many adventures together. Everything from milking goats to mountain biking.
I retired from Hewlett-Packard several years ago where I designed and developed technical training. Many times I was also the person who delivered the training solution developed by the team. After nearly 30 years in the business world, I'm exploring new opportunities. One of those is developing my creative side and along came my blog marciakdesigns.com in October 2016.
I’ve been making my own cards for years. Some of my first cards were simply pictures adhered to watercolor paper. Pictures taken on vacations and scenery shots. After that I got into scrapbooking. Then scrapbooking morphed into card-making and it was basically love at first stamp. If I’m not biking, paddling, gardening, hiking or reading I’m probably in my craft room.
